Singer Yoon Jong-shin captures the emotional changes of a man waiting for a reunion through 'Monthly Yoon Jong-shin.'
Yoon Jong-shin will release the Repair June edition 'Today' of the monthly music project 'Monthly Yoon Jong-shin' at 6 p.m. today (26th), presenting a new story of 27-year-old Yoon Jong-shin and conveying deep empathy.
The new song 'Today' is a piece that captures the complex and contradictory emotional changes of a man waiting for a reunion with an ex-lover, characterized by a conversational tone that seems to speak to someone who does not come and introspection into his own heart. Based on the original song included in the fifth studio album 'Wo(愚)' released in 1996, the arrangement was done by Kang Hwa-sung, who has worked on this for a long time, creating a new depiction of 27-year-old Yoon Jong-shin's story.
'Today' particularly sensitively portrays the complex emotions of hope, yearning, disappointment, and regret that swirl in the heart of a man waiting for an ex-lover, offering a profound resonance. Yoon Jong-shin's unique expression in our language, along with the exceptional charm and lingering beauty of the lyrics, is expected to deepen the allure of this song.
Yoon Jong-shin noted, "Lately, I often think that our language is truly beautiful," and added, "While revisiting the lyrics this time, I felt that despite the lack of ornate language, there is a lot of content within it." He continued, "As someone who expresses through music in our language, having done this for over 30 years, is there another language as suitable for creation as our language? It's truly fascinating and wonderful how our language is utilized in music." He expressed deep affection for this album.
