Lee Jong-suk, Moon Ga-young, Kang Yoo-seok, Ryu Hye-young, and Lim Seong-jae are starting a fierce work life.
On July 5th (Saturday), the new tvN weekend drama 'Seocho-dong' (script by Lee Seung-hyun/directed by Park Seung-woo/planned by CJ ENM Studios/produced by Chorokbaem Media) will unveil a comprehensive preview video, raising curiosity about the daily lives of five associate attorneys (lawyers who are employed by a law firm and receive a salary) commuting to Seocho-dong's legal town every day.
The preview video, starting with the lifeless gaze of An Joo-hyung (played by Lee Jong-suk) inside a crowded subway, transitions to the lives of wage-earning attorneys An Joo-hyung, Kang Hee-ji (played by Moon Ga-young), Jo Chang-won (played by Kang Yoo-seok), Bae Moon-jung (played by Ryu Hye-young), and Ha Sang-ki (played by Lim Seong-jae) in Seocho-dong. The attorneys' faces reflect the hardships of office life as they read through stacks of paperwork, often staying up all night, feeling frustrated with cases that seem to go nowhere.
Although they are just working as employees of the company, the responses from clients toward the attorneys vary greatly depending on the outcomes of the lawsuits. Despite dedicating their time until quitting time, the gloomy appearance of the associate attorneys, affected by harsh comments, evokes empathy from other office workers.
The daily lives of the five 'lawyengers' (Avengers + lawyers), who are crushed by work and people, create a sense of relatability as they struggle with a lack of 24 hours in a day. The different ways in which they relieve stress also attract attention, showing smiles on the faces of the associate attorneys as they run on the playground and enjoy delicious food together.
Amid the fierce lives, the lovely synergy of their meal buddies, where they can set down their mental burdens while together, is highly anticipated. As they slowly search for the answer to the question, 'Why did you want to become a lawyer?' they will face the second act of their monotonous office life.
The new tvN weekend drama 'Seocho-dong,' capturing the highs and lows of the five associate attorneys' growth, is set to premiere at 9:20 p.m. on July 5th (Saturday).
