Actor Jin Tae-hyun successfully completed thyroid cancer surgery and expressed his gratitude. In particular, he drew attention by expressing deep emotion over the warm support from junior actor Kim Woo-bin, with whom he had no previous acquaintance.
Jin Tae-hyun said on the 24th via his social media, 'I finished the surgery well around 11 a.m. on June 24, 2025,' updating everyone on his condition after the surgery. He noted, 'After the surgery, the professor personally came to the recovery room and said, 'Don't worry anymore,' and held my hand tightly.' He added, 'Thanks to the concern and support from many people, the cancer cells in my body have now disappeared. I am grateful.'
He continued, 'Reflecting on the past few months spent with the word cancer, it has been a turning point to learn more about how to live my life going forward.' He noted, 'I was grateful that it was a type of cancer that could be cured with surgery, but I also wonder what would have happened if that had not been the case,' and added, 'I sincerely support all patients fighting cancer across the country. I will pray together and walk alongside them through sharing.'
Above all, Jin Tae-hyun mentioned the names of those he is grateful for, particularly expressing thanks to actor Kim Woo-bin. He said, 'Although I have never interacted with Woo-bin, I am sincerely grateful for his warm heart in encouraging me to overcome my illness.' He added, 'I will treasure that heart and strive to be a good senior. Let's support each other's work and live healthily in the future.'
Jin Tae-hyun also shared his determination for the future. 'I have no intention of wasting my life being trapped in the past, nor do I have time to wallow in self-pity,' he said. 'In the end, all time passes, and the seconds and minutes ahead of us will determine our lives. I will live that time beautifully.'
He added, 'I will hold hands with my beloved wife and live looking forward to the upcoming trials and brilliance.' He noted, 'It was painful, but the surgery went well. Now, I will focus on recovery and move forward again to the playground. After all, I am a marathon runner.'
Earlier, Jin Tae-hyun received a diagnosis of thyroid cancer during a health check-up in April. At that time, he stated, 'I had a health check-up with my wife, and most of it was healthy, but I am facing surgery after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer.'
Jin Tae-hyun plans to continue his broadcasting activities after the surgery. The production team of 'Divorce Counseling Camp' also noted, 'Currently, we are not considering any changes to the cast. We sincerely wish for a speedy recovery for Jin Tae-hyun.'
