Traditional music artist and trot singer Kim Tae-yeon has signed an exclusive contract with K-Tigers Entertainment (K-Tigers), heralding a new leap forward.
Kim Tae-yeon began her journey at the age of 4, starting with pansori and folk songs, gaining recognition as a 'national music prodigy' and later capturing attention by ranking 4th in TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2' with her solid skills, also earning popularity as a 'trot prodigy.'
Kim Tae-yeon is breaking records in various fields as the 'youngest' and the 'first.' She has won the youngest grand prize at the 'Spring Song of Korea National Music Competition' and is also the youngest and first artist to perform at Carnegie Hall in the United States at the age of 7. Additionally, she has trained in taekwondo at the prestigious Midong Elementary School and serves as the first ambassador for the Korea Elementary Taekwondo Federation and the youngest ambassador for the Kukkiwon.
K-Tigers, where Kim Tae-yeon has found a new home, is a comprehensive entertainment company that creatively develops and produces Korean cultural content, contributing to its globalization. Celebrating 35 years this year, K-Tigers operates globally, engaging in various businesses, including around 1,000 taekwondo studio franchises, film production, entertainment production, music production, event production, commerce, and IT.
On the 20th, they collaborated with Sony Pictures Animation to present 'K-Pop Demon Hunters,' an animation that captures Korea's K-pop and traditional culture as a Netflix original, reaching number one in 22 countries and generating significant global buzz.
An Chang-bum, the CEO of K-Tigers, is a teacher of Na Tae-joo, who rose to prominence through 'Mr. Trot,' and is also the director and choreographer who developed taekwondo trot with Na Tae-joo.
An Chang-bum noted, 'Kim Tae-yeon, who is showcasing tremendous talent across various fields, is only 13 years old, embodying boundless potential and innate talent. Being a young artist who possesses both tradition and authenticity, we will spare no effort to support her in unfolding her diverse talents and pursuing happiness in her activities.' He also expressed his respect for Kim Tae-yeon's mother, who has nurtured her to this point and provided practical management, stating, 'Seeing Kim Tae-yeon, who maintains her innocence despite enjoying success at such a young age, reflects a rare mother-daughter relationship that will inspire many. We plan to carry out various projects based on that.'
He further emphasized, 'Look forward to the collaboration between the 'national music prodigy' and 'trot prodigy' baby tiger Kim Tae-yeon and K-Tigers, which is reinventing Korea's national sport, taekwondo, into a global pop culture art.'
Meanwhile, K-Tigers Entertainment has recently presented the Netflix original 'K-Pop Demon Hunters.' K-Tigers includes various artists spanning multiple fields, such as Tae-mi from 'The Last Dance of the Girls,' rapper Seo Chul-gu, Min (miss A), and national representatives such as three-time world taekwondo champion Bae Joon-seo (Ganghwa County Office) and Kim Min-seo (Dongnae District Office).
