As the creative activities of artists with disabilities become more active, an era of diversity in culture and arts is dawning.
The art platform Deriu supports the vigorous activities of artists with disabilities. Deriu Inc. and the Gangnam Welfare Center for the Disabled have signed a business agreement to collaborate on the necessary support for artists with disabilities to work as cultural artists.
The Gangnam Welfare Center for the Disabled is the only specialized welfare center for cultural and artistic activities for people with disabilities in the country, having held exhibitions with artists with developmental disabilities such as Kim Hyun-woo, Kim Tae-min, and Kang Tae-won.
Deriu plans to provide various support to artists with disabilities through this agreement. In an effort to help artists concentrate on their creative activities and expand their presence in the cultural and artistic fields, it will hold a "developmentally disabled artists' art exhibition." This will take place from Oct. 29 to Nov. 6 at the Deriu Gallery in Seocho-dong, Seoul.
