Actor Yim Siwan brought laughter with his witty acceptance speech.
On the morning of the 25th, the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards handprint event was broadcast live through Naver Chijijik. Attendees included last year's winners of the Blue Dragon Series Awards: new male variety entertainer award recipient Kwak Jun-bin, new female variety entertainer award recipient Yoon Gai, female variety entertainer award recipient Jang Doyoun, male variety entertainer award recipient Shin Dong-yup, best actress Park Bo-young, best actor Yim Siwan, supporting actress Geum Hae-na, supporting actor Ahn Jae-hong, new actress Go Youn-jung, and new actor Lee Jeong-ha. They participated in handprinting under the guidance of broadcaster Park Kyung-rim.
Yim Siwan said, "I feel like a year has already passed. I think time goes by quickly. And during that time, I have finished filming other projects, and there are works that will be released soon. I'm busy promoting the projects. I hope for your continued anticipation." He actually joined the Netflix original series "Squid Game" and is preparing for the release of season 3 on the 27th, following the second season.
Last year, Yim Siwan revealed that he had prepared only 10%. I wonder what the other 90% was like. Yim Siwan said, "In fact, there were many things that remained in my heart. Today, I will say what I have prepared after some reflection," but when he heard Park Kyung-rim say, "You can't afford not to speak now due to time constraints," he joked, "I will share it after I have prepared well. Yim Siwan, who was even said to be making his retirement work with his passionate performance in last year's Coupang Play series "Youth Era," expressed gratitude, saying, "The fact that people questioned whether it was a retirement work reflects that I must have acted with great effort and dedication. If the opportunity arises, I have a strong desire to challenge the comedy genre again. I would like to attempt various challenges in genres I haven't tried, as well as in genres I have worked in so far, if given the opportunity."
He also noted, "I ask for your great anticipation regarding the release of 'Squid Game 3'. Many people are asking me how the result (the conclusion of the work) will be, but you no longer need to ask me. You can watch it on video in two days."
