Actor So Ji-sub and Ok Taecyeon successfully wrapped up a fan meeting held in Taipei, Taiwan, proving their unwavering global popularity throughout Asia.
The first joint fan meeting of So Ji-sub and Ok Taecyeon, titled 'SONICe parTY,' held on the 25th of last month at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), generated buzz even before the event, reflecting the high popularity among local fans.
So Ji-sub appeared on stage singing 'Can't Smile Without You,' conveying the emotional moment of reuniting with Taiwanese fans after six years. He noted, 'Thanks to your love for the drama 'What Happened in Bali,' I started my first Asia tour fan meeting in 2014, and that starting point was right here in Taipei.' He also expressed, 'I'm truly grateful for the warm welcome now and back then,' heating up the venue. He then raised anticipation by sharing behind-the-scenes stories from his works and watching the trailer for the Netflix series 'Gwangjang' together with the audience.
A special duet stage followed with Ok Taecyeon, who came on stage afterward. They sang 'Sunshine,' which Ok Taecyeon personally wrote and composed for the fan meeting, creating unforgettable memories for the gathered fans.
Ok Taecyeon expressed, 'Taichung was the first city of the 2023 Asia fan meeting tour 'specialTY,' and I'm really happy to see you again in the same place.' He explained, 'Sunshine is a song created thinking of the fans who look at us on stage with sunlight-like beautiful smiles,' which deeply moved the fans.
This fan meeting also featured a 'mini sports day' corner, allowing for closer interaction with fans.
