Choa, a former member of the group Crayon Pop, shared her difficult feelings when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer two years ago.
Choa recalled on the 22nd, "Two years ago, in May 2023, I visited the infertility center at the Bundang Cha Hospital for a prenatal check-up in preparation for pregnancy, and that's when I was diagnosed with cancer. Three days later, my husband and I had a trip to Nha Trang coming up, and I had gotten a fancy manicure for it."
She added, "I had to cancel everything and said that I underwent all kinds of examinations, including CT and MRI scans, in this condition. It was a time when I just wished every day that it was a dream and cried. "
She then stated, "And at one moment, I started laughing because I couldn't believe how I ended up in the hospital like this. Then at some point, I changed my mindset: How much fun is my life going to be that I'm going through this? Yes, I am the main character of the drama that is my life. That's why I thought I should experience all kinds of stuff."
She also noted, "I think of this pain and trial as just one of the scenarios leading to a happy ending, and that made my heart feel much lighter, allowing me to endure quite positively. Even if I am sad, nothing changes, so I took many selfies, hehe."
Meanwhile, Choa married a businessman six years her senior in 2021. Later, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer during a health screening she underwent in her first year of marriage while preparing for pregnancy. After meeting with medical professionals who informed her that they could remove the cancer while preserving her fertility, she underwent surgery in August 2023. Subsequently, cysts were found on her ovaries during follow-up visits, but she received permission to get pregnant from her medical team, shedding tears of happiness. She immediately went to the infertility center and has been diligently preparing for in vitro fertilization, receiving much support.
