Actress Yoon Hye-jin, the wife of actor Um Tae-woong and a former ballerina, posted a meaningful message on social media.
On the 22nd, Yoon Hye-jin shared through her personal account, "I cannot choose what happens to me, but I can choose how to respond to it. It is the ultimate freedom of humans to choose their attitude."
Earlier, Yoon Hye-jin informed that the work 'I Kill You,' in which Um Tae-woong grants, was invited to this year's Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.
Along with this, Yoon Hye-jin expressed, "I reflect on the time I've quietly endured and collected my thoughts," and said, "I wondered if such a day could really come, imagining it and also thinking that it might never arrive."
She added, "I sincerely thank you for allowing me to experience such a miraculous moment," conveying her overwhelming feelings. In particular, she noted that the GV (audience talk) schedule for 'I Kill You,' which will take place on July 9, coincides with her mother's birthday, saying, "I can't shake the thought that my mom is watching over me."
Um Tae-woong's sister, Uhm Jung-hwa, expressed her feelings with heart and tear emojis.
Meanwhile, Um Tae-woong and Yoon Hye-jin married in 2013 and have a daughter, Ji-on. They have also shared their daily lives through KBS2's 'The Return of Superman.'
Um Tae-woong was embroiled in controversy in 2016 when he was accused of sexually assaulting a female employee at a massage parlor, referred to as 'Person A.' However, police investigations revealed that Person A conspired with the business owner to extort money, leading to the dismissal of the sexual assault allegations against Um Tae-woong. He was fined 1 million won for charges related to prostitution.
Afterward, Um Tae-woong paused his activities and took time for self-reflection. A year later, in 2017, the film 'Poclayne' was released. However, he did not appear in domestic official events except for the official press conference for 'Poclayne' held at the 21st Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn, Estonia.
