Taekwang Group's media affiliate Tcast's cooking study abroad challenge, "Learn and Feed Others," will open its second pop-up store at Hyundai Department Store in Pangyo from the 21st to June 29. The "Three Brothers of Culinary Knowledge" Ryu Soo-young, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Ki-hyun will unveil three new "study abroad recipes" created in the "Golden Kingdom" of Brunei.
The first of the three "Brunei study abroad recipes," Ryu Soo-young's "Hot Sambal Mozzarella Chicken Burger," previously captured attention under the name "Spicy Seasoned Mozzarella Chicken Burger" during the broadcast of "Learn and Feed Others" on the 16th. "This is a culmination of all my culinary skills," Ryu Soo-young noted, describing the dish developed by him, which features juicy, thick crispy chicken patties topped with spicy "Ryu Soo-young-style" minced sambal sauce and soft cheese that enhances the flavor.
"I will evaluate it coldly," said Yoon Kyung-ho, dubbed the "Ryu Soo-young Sniper," after tasting the "Hot Sambal Mozzarella Chicken Burger." He remarked, "It's infuriating... it's really delicious," acknowledging its heavenly flavor. Ki-hyun also commented on the burger's "violent visuals" and couldn't take his eyes off it, while the production team noted that it looked like a 55,000 won burger. This highly praised dish will be available for tasting starting Saturday the 21st at Hyundai Department Store in Pangyo during the second pop-up store of "Ryu Nam Saeng."
The "Hot Sambal Squid and Shrimp Capellini" by K-Dad Yoon Kyung-ho, which is evolving into "Cooking King," also stimulates the appetite just by its name. This dish features chewy squid, plump shrimp, and spicy Korean-style sambal sauce mixed with capellini pasta. The three brothers have directly learned to make the national sauce of Brunei, "sambal," adding K-Dad Yoon Kyung-ho's spiciness to create a visually appealing dish that bursts with smoky flavor.
Lastly, "Dessert Prince" Ki-hyun of MONSTA X, who is rapidly rising, has created "Savory Pandan Rice Cake," generating anticipation. This dish combines the savory and subtly sweet Brunei spice "pandan" with red bean paste, showcasing Ki-hyun's ingenuity to create an unprecedented rice cake dessert. During the broadcast on the 16th, Ki-hyun attempted "pandan honey rice cake" using pandan leaves, glutinous rice, and natural sugar powder, revealing a tumultuous process, heightening curiosity about the final study abroad recipe, "Savory Pandan Rice Cake."
At this pop-up store venue, there will also be a "Round-trip Flight Ticket Drawing Event" in collaboration with "Learn and Feed Others," Royal Brunei Airlines, and Hyundai Department Store in Pangyo. After purchasing a "Brunei Study Abroad Set," participants need to submit their receipt in the entry box at the pop-up store. A round-trip ticket worth 1.5 million won connecting Incheon and Brunei (Bandar Seri Begawan) will be given to one person through a lottery. Meanwhile, "Learn and Feed Others" previously showcased its first pop-up store themed around Portugal's "Porto" at The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido, Seoul. Ryu Soo-young, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Ki-hyun attracted many visitors with unique recipes they created in Porto, wrapping up the pop-up store successfully. The second pop-up store, held from June 21 to June 29 at Hyundai Department Store in Pangyo, will unveil three Brunei study abroad recipes, with a third pop-up store themed around Sicily set to take place in July.
