The global dance survival show 'Street Woman Fighter 3' (hereafter 'SooPa3') has received fervent praise for the mega crew mission featuring the Korean representative 'BUMSUP.'
As the global dance survival show 'Street Woman Fighter 3' (hereafter 'SooPa3') has officially entered a national competition, the mega crew mission stage by the Korean representative 'BUMSUP' is undeniably receiving noteworthy attention.
On the 18th, a performance video of 'BUMSUP' released through Mnet's official YouTube channel 'The Dance' surpassed 6.7 million views within a day, drawing explosive reactions. This stage, titled 'Dreamscape - At the Border of Dreams,' has been praised for beautifully blending Korean traditional aesthetics with modern choreography.
The stage was led by the legendary leaders from the first two seasons of 'SooPa,' with Team Korea 'BUMSUP' in charge. The powerful synergy created by dancers such as Honey J, AIKI, Gabee, Leejung, Ri.hey, Hyojin Choi, NO:ZE, and LIP J, whose names alone carry weight, stood out. Honey J served as the general director, and actress Roh Yoon-seo made a direct appearance in the opening and closing, enhancing the immersion of the performance.
Notably, the use of classical 'hat' costumes, makeup reminiscent of a grim reaper, and the Korean sentiment infused throughout the choreography and direction deeply permeate the video. The choreography, unfolding alongside grand music, left a powerful impression on viewers, prompting comments of admiration even from official national agencies.
The Korea Heritage Service noted, "We rushed over when we heard a national heritage-level performance had come out," while the Korea Heritage Promotion Agency expressed their support by saying, "BUMSUP, unbeatable BUMSUP! We support Team Korea!" The Korea Intangible Heritage Center also sent enthusiastic applause by stating in a lengthy comment, "A wonderful blend of tradition and modernity. It's truly awe-inspiring. Thank you for showcasing the fresh and hip aspects of intangible heritage."
Going beyond a mere stage, this performance by 'BUMSUP,' which artistically conveyed Korea's traditions and emotions to the world, is undeniably receiving reviews that deem it a 'cultural heritage-level stage.'
Meanwhile, 'SooPa3' is being held for the first time in a global national competition format, with dance crews from various countries, including Korea, the United States, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, competing fiercely. It airs every Tuesday at 10 p.m.
