Kim Nam-joo reflected on the time spent as a mother rather than as actress Kim Nam-joo. In response to the question, 'What kind of mother are you?' she said, 'I'm strict when needed and very accommodating when I need to be. Now that the kids have grown up a lot, I'm more like a friend rather than a mother. I try to avoid making them feel distant from me. I try to feign understanding unnecessarily, which ends up hurting me alone.'
