Actor Jeong Yu-ji is temporarily stepping away from the musical 'Frida' due to an injury.
On the 18th, Jeong Yu-ji posted a lengthy message on her personal account stating, 'While preparing for the musical 'Frida,' I was creating the most precious moments of my life and eagerly awaited the day when I could share the stage with the audience.'
On that day, Jeong Yu-ji explained, 'However, the condition of my wrist, which I injured during recent practice, has worsened, and I received a diagnosis of a tear in the right wrist triangular fibrocartilage complex and ligament tear based on the hospital examination results.' She noted that due to the medical team's recommendations, she must focus on treatment and recovery for the time being, and regrettably, she will not be able to participate in upcoming performances.
As a result, on the 19th and 20th, Kim So-hyang will take over the performances instead of Jeong Yu-ji. Jeong Yu-ji stated, 'Knowing how much disappointment and inconvenience this decision may cause to many people, it was not an easy choice to make,' adding, 'However, I have come to realize that a healthy body is necessary above all to step on stage.'
Jeong Yu-ji expressed, 'I am very sorry and grateful to all the audience members who were waiting to greet me on stage, as well as to everyone who supported me.' She continued, 'I sincerely thank my replacement So-hyang, the EMK production team, the director, and everyone who has shown consideration for my recovery.'
