Denmark's William faces the 'ultimate challenge' of Korean cuisine.
In the episode airing on June 19, on MBC Everyone's 'Welcome, First Time in Korea?', Denmark's William takes on seongji-haejangguk after successfully eating sannakji and gomchitguk, embarking on a mission to conquer the 'three high-difficulty Korean dishes' set.
Last year, during his trip to Korea, he succeeded in eating sannakji, and this year, in his trip to Korea, he successfully filmed a mukbang of gomchitguk in Donghae, conquering high-difficulty Korean dishes. By chance, he enters a restaurant where he encounters seongji-haejangguk, considered the final boss of Korean cuisine, which even Koreans find difficult to swallow. From before seongji-haejangguk is served, William is already surprised, questioning, 'Do I really eat boiling blood soup?' While watching Rasmus prepare an apron, he claims he trembled in fear, wondering what was happening.
Finally revealed, the seongji-haejangguk, bubbling like lava in a hot stone pot. William, who was stunned at the sight of the dark red chunks of seongji, bravely takes a bite but falls into confusion over the unfamiliar texture that feels like eating clay. Can William win the hot showdown against the seongji-haejangguk, which has strong preferences even among Koreans?
MC Lee Hyun-hee also laughs, saying, 'I was as nervous as when I went to an amusement park yesterday,' as William's challenge with seongji-haejangguk can be seen on June 19, Thursday, at 8:30 p.m. on MBC Everyone's 'Welcome, First Time in Korea?'
