Aespa has reached the pinnacle of their career by embracing two awards at the 'ASEA 2025' ceremony.
The photoshoot featuring Aespa, which decorated the cover of the July issue of At Style, was taken on the day of the 'ASEA 2025' awards at a special photo studio set up on-site. In an interview accompanying the photoshoot, the members shared various stories, from the emotion of winning the awards to their anticipation for the new album and heartfelt messages for their fans.
Aespa achieved a triple crown by winning two grand prizes, 'Artist of the Year' and 'Song of the Year,' along with a special award, 'The Platinum,' at the '2nd Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025' (ASEA 2025), held at the K-Arena in Yokohama, Japan, on May 28.
"I really didn't expect to receive three awards. To receive two grand prizes is just overwhelming," Aespa first expressed gratitude to the fans who contributed to their glory that day. "I don't usually feel how much love we receive, but I feel it strikingly at moments like this," they added.
When asked about the changes compared to their debut, they said, "At first, I didn't notice any significant changes, but thinking about it, the spectrum of challenges we can take on has significantly broadened." They added, "Now, it's not strange to see other artists cover our songs and take on challenges."
The previous activities were a challenge for the team as well. "Since the genre itself is not very mainstream, we had a lot to ponder. While 'Armageddon' felt fully packed, 'Whiplash' was more about leaving space," they continued. "When we held our first concert at Tokyo Dome, I was amazed and overwhelmed to see so many people coming to watch our stage."
Ahead of their comeback, Aespa explained, "This time, there is relatively a slower tempo song. It has a style that can highlight the details, so I think we can show a different color of Aespa." Finally, Aespa stated, "All the awards and positions we've received are results created together with our fans, and I want to turn this feeling into energy, not arrogance, to repay them with better music."
