'Seocho-dong' Law Town lawyers are hinting at their complicated relationships.
The new tvN weekend drama 'Seocho-dong' (written by Lee Seung-hyun / directed by Park Seung-woo / planned by CJ ENM Studios / produced by Chorokbaem Media), which will first air on 7th (Saturday), features the growth stories of five lawyers who commute daily to Seocho-dong Law Town.
In the drama, lawyers Ahn Joo-hyung (played by Lee Jong-suk), Kang Hee-ji (played by Moon Ga-young), Jo Chang-won (played by Kang Yoo-seok), Bae Mun-jeong (played by Ryu Hye-young), and Ha Sang-ki (played by Im Sung-jae) work at law firms located on each floor of Hyung-min Building in Seocho-dong Law Town. They gather at a restaurant during lunch time to ease their daily stress by sharing meals together after a competitive workday.
First, the peculiar relationship between the rational lawyer Ahn Joo-hyung and the passionate lawyer Kang Hee-ji is drawing attention. Ahn Joo-hyung, who has been settled in the same job for nine years in the frequently changing world of associate lawyers, is a capable individual with experience to match. Therefore, whenever something happens, all the lawyers in Hyung-min Building rush to Ahn Joo-hyung.
Kang Hee-ji, who has just become an associate lawyer, also seeks out Ahn Joo-hyung immediately whenever she has questions, quenching her curiosity. Although she has a bold and honest personality that disarms others, this charm doesn't seem to affect Ahn Joo-hyung, raising the question of whether Kang Hee-ji's constant knocking will break through Ahn Joo-hyung's sturdy defenses.
The chemistry of the five lawyers gathering around the dining table during lunch time is also eagerly anticipated. Following the lead of the dedicated food enthusiast Bae Mun-jeong as they search for a restaurant, they seamlessly proceed with everything from setting the table to ordering without needing to say much, showcasing their perfect harmony.
During their meals, they begin to share their everyday lives, discussing their worries and daily affairs with small talks. The various topics, from the difficulties faced with clients, conflicts with supervisors, to personal family matters and relationship issues, promise to resonate with viewers like a diverse menu of shared dishes.
In particular, the lively banter of Jo Chang-won, who boasts an endless stream of talk, and the only person who responds to him, Ha Sang-ki, as well as Bae Mun-jeong, who dives into any conversation, contribute to the delightful dynamic of the five lawyers with their diverse personalities. As the cheerful clinking of utensils rings out on the table, the anticipation grows for the vibrant energy they will bring into their daily lives.
The new tvN weekend drama 'Seocho-dong,' which will depict the tumultuous work lives of associate lawyers in Hyung-min Building in Seocho-dong Law Town, will first air on Saturday, July 5, at 9:20 p.m.
