Ahead of its first broadcast on June 20, Mnet's 'Live Wire' hosts Jung Jae-hyung and Code Kunst shared their feelings about the first recording and their genuine expectations for the program, further heating the anticipation for the broadcast.
Mnet's 'Live Wire' is a music talk show that facilitates the consolidation of people through music in a relay format, gaining attention for its unique structure where each episode features artists selecting the next artist. Jung Jae-hyung and Code Kunst are set to collaborate as hosts for the first time, promising a different synergy.
Regarding his feelings about meeting as hosts for the first time, Jung Jae-hyung said, "I had never met Code Kunst while doing music, so I was actually worried. However, once we met, I felt that my worries were unfounded, as we had great chemistry, and I hope you look forward to our chemistry on the show." Code Kunst noted, "I am truly honored to be part of a style of music program I have always wanted to do with Jung Jae-hyung. I have always thought of him as a musician and senior from whom I can learn a lot, so I feel even more thrilled."
In response to a question about his thoughts after the first recording, Jung Jae-hyung stated, "I had many worries, but the artists I met on-site and their live performances were the beginning of a musical exploration that shattered my preconceived notions about genres." Code Kunst commented, "It was a time to share laughter with the audience and musicians through music, and I once again want to thank those who love my music and the music of all musicians."
The two attributed the program's charm to 'diversity and consolidation.' Jung Jae-hyung expressed, "I hope it becomes a platform where artists of different styles can gather without genre distinctions," while Code Kunst emphasized, "The natural flow of meeting artists selected directly by musicians is incredibly attractive."
When asked who they would like to meet if they were to participate as guests rather than hosts, their respective fan sentiments were evident. Jung Jae-hyung expressed, "I would really like to invite someone like Cho Yong-pil or Lee So-ra, who are hard to see on broadcasts these days," while Code Kunst mentioned, "Lee Hi is like a persona to me," adding, "I have never performed on a broadcast stage with her and would love to meet her."
Lastly, Jung Jae-hyung revealed his affection for music, expressing his ambition to introduce various musical tones through 'Live Wire.' He said, "The directions and tastes of those who make music are different, but I believe the heartfelt approach to music is the same," adding, "I hope it becomes a program that can convey a spectrum of diverse music with this sincerity."
