Choi Jae-won recently shared a photo of receiving the commendation from President Lee Jae-myung on his personal social media, stating, "It is the honor of my family."
He expressed gratitude to those around him who have campaigned against elder abuse together, saying, "I sincerely love my family, especially to Seon-tae Bro, who has been with me for 15 years." Additionally, he shared photos taken with his wife, professional golfer Kim Jae-eun, and his daughter, expressing joy over the presidential commendation.
Since 2010, Choi Jae-won has been active as a public relations ambassador for the Ministry of Health and Welfare's elder abuse prevention efforts. In 2012, he received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare for his contributions to the protection of elder rights.
