The ongoing MBC Friday and Saturday drama 'Oh My Ghost Clients' (written by Kim Bo-tong and Yoo Seung-hee, directed by Lim Soon-rye and Lee Han-jun) has garnered attention for its cheerful and warm approach to labor issues that ring alarm bells in our society. The story of avenging the ghosts of those who died from industrial accidents has captivated viewers, moving beyond mere punishment to deliver emotion and comfort.
In particular, the cleaning worker episodes from the recently aired 5th and 6th episodes stirred up heated reactions online. The stories of workers threatened with dismissal for a 'cultural exam' unrelated to cleaning tasks, and the efforts of 'Mu-jin' (played by Jung Kyung-ho), Na Hee-joo (played by Seol In-ah), and Go Gyeon-woo (played by Cha Hak-yeon), who amplified their voices, provided a thrilling experience. As a result, the 5th episode achieved a nationwide household rating of 5.1%, breaking its own record according to Nielsen Korea.
At the center of the story, Jung Kyung-ho, Seol In-ah, and Cha Hak-yeon have showcased fantastic chemistry as the episodes progress, fostering the teamwork of 'Mu-jins'. The 'Mu-jins' provide drama's 'cider moments' with their resolution method of 'making it happen if it seems impossible', tackling even the most difficult labor issues. Moreover, they inject laughter into the drama, maintaining humor and wit amidst seriousness.
Amid this, the revealed behind-the-scenes cuts showcase the fantastic teamwork of the 'Mu-jins'. Jung Kyung-ho, Seol In-ah, and Cha Hak-yeon are constantly brainstorming ideas while monitoring the camera. The efforts of the actors not to let any scene go to waste become apparent. Jung Kyung-ho has displayed leadership in bringing the actors together, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere on set.
The cheerful filming atmosphere created by the 'Mu-jins', who communicate with just a glance, also catches the eye. Seol In-ah playfully teases Jung Kyung-ho from behind, while Cha Hak-yeon's presence prompts smiles. Additionally, the behind-the-scenes cuts featuring Tang Jun-sang as the guardian contractor of Mu-jin, Anupam as the foreign worker Nimal, and Jeon Gook-hyang as Mu-jin's mother, the cleaning worker, evoke warmth. Attention will be focused on the relationship between Yu Seon-ho, who plays the convenience store part-timer Heo Yoon-jae, and Jung Kyung-ho in a two-shot as they take center stage in the upcoming 7th episode.
The production team of 'Oh My Ghost Clients' noted, 'Whenever the 'Mu-jins' actors gather, meetings are always held. It was a scene created with love for every single moment.' They added, 'In the remaining four episodes, the scale of labor issues that the 'Mu-jins' must tackle will grow, and alongside that, the storyline will become even more spectacular. It will also be fun to observe the reinforced synergy of the 'Mu-jins'.'
