Actor Jo Jung-seok made a profit of 7.1 billion won from the sale of a building in Daechi-dong, seven years after its purchase.
On the 17th, The Korea Economic Daily reported, citing sources in the real estate industry, that Jo sold the building owned by JS Company for 11 billion won last April, resulting in a capital gain of 7.1 billion won.
Jo Jung-seok purchased the building located in Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 3.9 billion won when he established the one-person agency JS Company in 2018. He then reconstructed the building into a new one in February 2020 and sold it for 11 billion won last April. After excluding construction costs, the capital gain is expected to be around 5 billion won to 6 billion won.
Jo Jung-seok, who debuted in 2004 with the musical "The Nutcracker," gained popularity from his roles in films such as "Architecture 101," "The Face Reader," and "Exit," based on numerous musicals including "Hedwig." He notably increased his public recognition through the drama "Jealousy Incarnate" and the "Hospital Playlist" series.
Thanks to this, he married singer Gummy in 2018 and welcomed a daughter. He is currently active at Jam Entertainment since the establishment of JS Company.
