Singer and actor Lee Seung-gi has performed charitable acts.
Lee participated as the eighth runner in the 'Korea Red Cross 120th Anniversary × Blood Donors Day Blood Donation Relay Campaign' on the 14th.
Appointed as a public relations ambassador for the Korea Red Cross in January, Lee has a connection with the organization through his involvement in the Youth Red Cross (RCY) during high school.
He has continued to share consistently since then. In 2021, he donated 30 million won for scholarships for vulnerable children and teenagers, and in 2023, he contributed a total of 760 million won to the Korea Red Cross for disaster relief activities during the Donghae wildfire, as well as support for mobile meal vehicles and blood donation buses.
The blood donation relay campaign Lee participated in was organized to commemorate the 120th anniversary of the Korea Red Cross and the 'Blood Donors Day' on June 14. Public relations ambassadors of the Korea Red Cross are participating in a relay format, sharing the significance of blood donation.
In this regard, a representative from the Korea Red Cross noted, "Ambassador Lee Seung-gi has quietly practiced donation and service, and through this campaign, he has conveyed the message of sharing life more sincerely. We hope that the relay participation of trusted public relations ambassadors will lead to positive interest and voluntary participation in blood donation among the public."
Lee Seung-gi has married actor Lee Da-in, the second daughter of actress Kyeon Mi-ri, and they have a daughter. Recently, regarding Lee Da-in's stepfather's involvement in a stock manipulation case, he stated, "The trust among family members has been damaged to a point that is difficult to restore. After much deliberation, we wish to sever ties with my in-laws." This has drawn public attention.
