The group NewJeans' "New Jeans" has surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.
According to Spotify on the 17th, the song "New Jeans" from NewJeans' (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, HAEIN) second EP "Get Up" has accumulated 400,245,638 plays as of the 15th. With this, "New Jeans" has become NewJeans' sixth song to achieve 400 million streams.
"New Jeans" features a unique composition that transitions between UK Garage and Jersey Club rhythms, with its innovative lyrics utilizing the team's name and a refined melody line standing out. The song quickly dominated the domestic major music site real-time charts at No. 1 and 2 right after being pre-released along with "Super Shy" ahead of its album release in July 2023, and it gained global popularity by entering the Billboard Global 200 and Global (Excluding the U.S.) charts, as well as Spotify's Weekly Top Song Global.
The music video, a collaboration with the famous American animation "The Powerpuff Girls," also garnered significant attention. The storyline features NewJeans members transforming into "The Powerpuff Girls" characters exploring an unknown world, with the music video showcasing a three-dimensional visual experience that blends 3D animation and live action. The unique character designs that reflect the members' personalities and characteristics gained popularity, ranking No. 1 on YouTube's trending videos in the U.S. at the time.

"OMG" has over 800 million streams, "Ditto" and "Super Shy" have over 700 million streams, "Hype Boy" has over 600 million streams, while "Attention" and "New Jeans" each have over 400 million streams. "ETA" has over 300 million streams; "Cookie," "Hurt," "Cool With You," and "How Sweet" each have over 200 million streams, while "ASAP," "Get Up," "Supernatural," and "Bubble Gum" each have over 100 million streams. The total combined streaming count for all songs released by NewJeans has exceeded 6.3 billion.
