'All-knowing reader perspective' director Kim Byung-woo mentioned Ahn Hyo-seop's visuals.
On the morning of the 17th, a production report for the film 'All-knowing reader perspective' was held at Lotte Cinema in Gunja-dong, Seoul. Attendees included lead actors Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Min-ho, Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, Nana, and director Kim Byung-woo.
'All-knowing reader perspective' (directed by Kim Byung-woo, provided by Lotte Entertainment and Smilegate, distributed by Lotte Entertainment, and produced by Realize Pictures Inc., co-produced by MYM Entertainment, Smilegate Realize, and The Present Company) is a fantasy action film in which, on the day the novel that has been serialized for over 10 years is completed, the world from the novel becomes reality, and the only reader, Kim Reader (played by Ahn Hyo-seop), teams up with the main character Yoo Joong-hyuk (played by Lee Min-ho) and others to survive in a destroyed world. This blockbuster, with a production cost of about 30 billion won, has been completed following the popular web novel of the same name and its webtoon adaptation. Director Kim Byung-woo, who directed 'The Terror Live' (2013) and 'PMC: The Bunker' (2018), presents his next film after a seven-year hiatus.
Ahn Hyo-seop plays Kim Reader, who is the only one that knows the ending of the novel serialized for over 10 years. He is an ordinary contract worker at a gaming company and the sole reader of the novel 'Three Ways to Survive in a Destroyed World.' He is expected to show his ordinary life and how he gradually becomes stronger in the world that has turned into reality, making his big screen debut after 10 years.
MC Park Kyung-rim asked, "The director said about casting Ahn Hyo-seop, 'He didn't need to be that handsome,'" to which Ahn Hyo-seop responded, "That's the first I've heard of that," and laughed.
Director Kim Byung-woo stated, "I first met during the casting meeting. My first impression was, 'He doesn't need to be that tall and handsome.' I actually never directly told the actors this, but I thought about how to make him look more ordinary. The reader's ordinariness was the most important thing."
He added, "The clothes were simple, and there was no going home in between to wash his hair. There were many challenging aspects, but the most important thing was that he needed to pull it off himself."
Meanwhile, 'All-knowing reader perspective' is set to be released on July 23.
