Actor Choo Young-Woo shared his thoughts on reuniting with Cho Yi-hyun after 3 years.
On the afternoon of the 17th, an online event for the new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy' took place, featuring director Kim Yong-Wan as well as actors Cho Yi-hyun, Choo Young-Woo, Cha Kang-yoon, and Choo Ja-hyun, who discussed the show.
'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy' is a drama based on a popular webtoon of the same name, depicting the tumultuous first love of 18-year-olds through the story of high school shaman Park Seong-A (played by Cho Yi-hyun), who defies destiny for first love, and Baek Gyeon-Woo (played by Choo Young-Woo), who challenges fate through the ordinary happiness she has opened up for him.
On that day, Choo Young-Woo shared his feelings about reuniting with Cho Yi-hyun after 'School 2021' by noting, "First of all, Yi-Hyun has become prettier while I feel like I'm the only one who's aged. It hasn't been long, just 3 years, but she has matured a lot."
Choo Young-Woo continued, "I think I've developed both in terms of acting and appearance. At that time, we didn't have much of a rapport, and the set was chaotic, so we couldn't talk. This time, we got closer, and the romantic elements have increased, as well as the comedic aspects, so I think it matched well."
Cho Yi-hyun also explained, "I was glad to meet Young-Woo in a project after a long time. We're the same age. In reality, we filmed together about 4 to 5 years ago. Meeting him again after that time in our early twenties to now is interesting, as I feel he's an attractive actor."
At the same time, Cho Yi-hyun expressed her gratitude, saying, "Meeting for the second time gave me a sense of stability and comfort. Since we have worked together before, I felt we naturally understood each other's tendencies, so it was nice to not have any ice-breaking time needed."
Meanwhile, tvN's 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy' will air at 8:50 p.m. on the 23rd.
