Singer Gil (real name Gil Seong-jun)'s son is attracting attention by winning second place at an international gifted competition.
On the 16th, Gil shared a short post on his social media (SNS) saying, "I'm proud of him, second place," along with a photo of his son. In the photo, his son is striking a V pose at the international competition, and despite a somewhat indifferent expression, pride is evident.
Fans reacted with messages of support, noting that the son looks like he inherited his father's talent as a musician, saying, "You can't fool DNA" and "He truly is the son of a genius composer."
Meanwhile, Gil gained a lot of love as a member of the duo Leessang, but he has been involved in controversies due to drunk driving on three occasions, in 2004, 2014, and again in 2017. Gil stepped down from MBC's "Infinity Challenge," and at the time of the 2017 incident, he received a sentence of six months in prison with a two-year probation and 80 hours of community service.
Gil returned to broadcasting through Channel A's "Eye Contact" in 2020, where he also revealed for the first time that he had gotten married and had a son. He has since introduced his daily life with his son through shows like "The Return of Superman," but is currently on a break from broadcasting and is communicating with fans via his YouTube channel.
