Actor Choi Jae-won expressed his feelings about receiving the presidential citation for the second time through the elder abuse prevention campaign.
Choi Jae-won spoke about his recent presidential citation on 17th to OSEN.
He first noted, "When I started, it was vague as it was about promoting the rights of the elderly and preventing elder abuse; I didn't know what to do. I thought I would just do my best with whatever I was told, and it has been 16 years since then," mentioning his feelings about working hard for the promotion of the rights of the elderly for 15 years.
He added, "I am even more grateful because the organizers said that it seems I am the first actor to receive a presidential citation twice." In reality, he also received a presidential citation as a taxpayer cooperation award on Taxpayer's Day in 2003.
Choi Jae-won expressed his delight, saying, "Above all, my beloved mother is happy every time she calls and asks if it's okay to treat the family with my currency, saying it's a family honor."
Choi Jae-won, who debuted as a KBS Super Talent in 1995, gained great love as 'Conscience Man' in the 'Choi Jae-won's Conscience Pursuit' segment of KBS's 'Good Country Movement Headquarters.' He has been active since 2010 as a promotional ambassador for elder abuse prevention for the Ministry of Health and Welfare and received a citation from the Minister of Health and Welfare in 2012 for his contributions to the protection of the rights of the elderly.
Thanks to this, he recently received a presidential citation for his contributions to the elder abuse prevention campaign over the past 15 years. Choi Jae-won also expressed his joy by posting a photo holding the presidential citation with his wife, professional golfer Kim Jae-eun, and their daughter on social media.
