Actor Jeong Seok-yong announced a surprise marriage shortly after revealing that he has been dating his music director girlfriend, who is 5 years younger, for two and a half years with the intention of marriage.
Tonight (16th), on the SBS entertainment program 'Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2 – You Are My Destiny' (abbreviated as 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'), Jeong Seok-yong will grant as a guest.
In the recent studio recording of 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2', Jeong Seok-yong surprised everyone by throwing out the bombshell, "I'm already married." He went on to reveal the 'full story' of his marriage, from the newlywed house to the proposal.
After hearing about Jeong Seok-yong's challenges as an inexperienced newlywed, the marriage seniors on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' bombarded him with unsolicited advice. Reports noted that Jeong Seok-yong appeared quite intimidated by comments like, "Prepare a surprise!" and "Add more reactions!"
Jeong Seok-yong had previously faced forced 'relationship disclosure' on air. In January, during an episode of SBS 'My Little Old Boy', Jeong Seok-yong and Lim Won-hee met Lee Geon-joo at the celebration for Lim Hyun-sik's 80th birthday. The two asked Lee Geon-joo about their romantic prospects, and Lee Geon-joo took out a liability and a divination tool to read fortunes. To Lim Won-hee, he said, "If you set your mind to it, you can get married. You can date if you really want to, but you have high standards," advising him to let go of his desires.
In particular, Lee Geon-joo smiled at Jeong Seok-yong and asked, "Are you seeing someone right now?" to which Jeong Seok-yong acknowledged that he is in a romantic relationship. Later, in March during 'My Little Old Boy', Jeong Seok-yong stated, "I've been dating for about 2 years," which shocked Lim Won-hee, who expressed disappointment by saying, "Why are you only talking about it now? You're really sly." Lim Won-hee further inquired, "What does she do?" Jeong Seok-yong replied, "She's a music director. I've known her for a long time, but when I saw her again after a long time, I saw her as a woman. So I just suggested we grab a meal, and after that, it just happened," feeling shy.
Most notably, Jeong Seok-yong remarked, "Actually, we are also discussing marriage," revealing that preparations for marriage are underway.
