That day, Kim Soo-ji explained the reason she was updating subscribers after a long time, saying, "There are various reasons why I couldn't work hard on YouTube, and it was actually difficult to balance vlogging while doing the news desk. It wasn't that I didn't have time, but it seems like it wasn't the right time to be doing YouTube."
Kim Soo-ji revealed, "Because I am doing representative news on the news desk, it has inadvertently created a certain representative image for me. I was very careful about what to say. When something happens in society, I feel there is a difference between showing my daily life as it is and not showing it, even though I am living like everyone else. There were days when I felt sorry for showing that I was doing well."
In particular, Kim Soo-ji mentioned her pregnancy for another reason, stating, "I confirmed it at the end of February this year, and there might be some people who thought, 'Oh? Have I gained some weight?' while watching the news. My face has also gotten chubby and my belly has protruded a bit."
She said, "The truth is that I had severe morning sickness, so I couldn't do anything. I couldn't eat anything, and while doing the news, I had to run to the bathroom to throw up during my senior colleague Jo Hyun-yong's segments. Then I would come back to do my part, and when Young-han did the sports news, I would dash to the bathroom again. I spent almost three months just sitting around for my turn."
She continued, "I can't say it was painful, and there are no health issues, but it was a change I experienced while being pregnant. My condition deteriorated, so I couldn't shoot videos or write lyrics. My daily life overall wasn't normal. That's why I couldn't film any videos."
Earlier, on the 14th, Kim Soo-ji appeared on MBC's 'Omniscient Interfering View' and was the first to announce her pregnancy, sharing, "Because I was doing the news, I couldn't receive any bad news and focus on prenatal education." With a due date in mid-October, Kim Soo-ji responded to questions about her return, saying, "I was told to take a break and come back, so I think I will be taking maternity leave and then returning," adding that the baby's nickname is 'Big-hee.'
Meanwhile, anchor Kim Soo-ji married singer Han Ki-joo, who is three years her senior, in 2022 after meeting through a broadcast.
