Park Young-kyu's wife expressed her feelings of disappointment.
In the 14th episode of KBS 2TV's 'The Man Who Cooks Season 2' (hereinafter 'The Man Who Cooks'), Park Young-kyu was depicted having conflicts with his 25-year-younger wife.
The couple headed to the supermarket. The wife appeared excited, saying, "I think it's the first time we're going without hats and masks." Park Young-kyu expressed a mix of anticipation and concern. The wife said, "Have confidence in yourself," to which Park Young-kyu explained, "I'm also a bit embarrassed. I feel sorry and hesitant when we're out together." The wife made a witty comment, saying, "Since I'm an experienced worker," which elicited laughter.
Finally, the couple arrived at the supermarket. Park Young-kyu seemed unable to make eye contact with people. The wife attempted physical affection, but Park Young-kyu, feeling tense, kept his distance. He even suggested they keep their distance, saying he felt uncomfortable if others were watching.
Ultimately, the wife told him at the checkout, "You go stay in the car," and Park Young-kyu acknowledged her request and returned to the car alone. Regarding Park Young-kyu's actions, the wife said, "It annoys me more that he goes out just because I told him to. I felt like hitting him out of frustration."
Park Young-kyu was at a loss with his wife's cold demeanor. Eventually, the wife stopped the car and asked, "Why are you acting like this at the supermarket? Am I embarrassing you?" The wife stated, "I also get frustrated. I thought I needed to cool down before we go." Park Young-kyu stammered and seemed flustered by her attitude.
