On the 14th, during the broadcast of KBS 2TV 'Salim Namja-deul Season 2' (hereafter 'Salim Nam'), Park Young-kyu unveiled the face of his 25-year-younger wife for the first time.
Park Young-kyu revealed that there is a 10-year and 7-year age difference with his father-in-law and mother-in-law. His wife, who is 25 years younger than him, explained, "I am not in my first marriage and I also have a child. I had a wish from my parents that I hope to meet a caring man. That wish didn't extend to 25 years of difference." Park Young-kyu expressed his feelings toward his wife by saying, "I always have a sense of guilt."
Since it was her first appearance on the show, Park Young-kyu's wife brought laughter with her pure yet active demeanor. Park Young-kyu grumbled for her not to mind the camera, and Jiyoung Baek, who saw this, remarked, "It's her first appearance, so it would be nice if you kindly gave her advice. Why are you yelling so much?" In response, his wife also complained, "This is really strange. Are you my boss? It feels like I'm at work."
Regarding the reveal of his wife's face, Park Young-kyu said, "I thought deeply about revealing my wife, but she didn't seem to have much resistance to it." His wife explained, "My husband has a caring heart for me, but I also had concerns and fears as a regular person."
His wife said, "My husband has a lot of ups and downs in his life story. He has been married four times, which is hard to do even once. He also lost his son early." Park Young-kyu has experienced the pain of losing his son due to a traffic accident. He expressed deep sorrow by stating, "I lost the reason to live. I feel like I would only meet him if I died, and that made me want to die."
His wife revealed, "When I see the other 'Salim Nam' cast members, it seems like they have full support from their families. Only sad stories keep coming out, and I told my husband, 'How proud is it to have a 25-year-younger wife? It's a sign of capability.' So, I wanted to participate with him," emphasizing that she decided to appear on the show solely for Park Young-kyu. She then teared up. Jiyoung Baek added, "I think from the wife's perspective, it's upsetting, and she has a desire to lift her husband's spirits by appearing on the show."
