'Problem Child in House' star Jo Hye-ryeon has embarked on a second life as a singer.
On the 12th, KBS2TV's entertainment program 'Problem Child in House' featured a collaboration team called 'Mechanism', a unique combination of Peppertones and Jo Hye-ryeon. Their collaboration, realized through Yoo Jae-suk's suggestion and Jo Hye-ryeon's initiative, attracted attention with their oversized suit stage costumes.
Jo Hye-ryeon shared, 'Last year at Yoo Jae-suk's 'Punggyegoh' awards ceremony, Cha Seung-won and Park Shin-hye were really there. Peppertones sat next to me.' She continued, 'Lee Jang-won and Shin Jae-pyeong don't talk much, do they? But not long ago, I directed the play 'I Love You, Mom.' When Yoo Jae-suk asked how I had directed a play, I told him I had done a play five years ago, so I knew Mechanism, and Lee Jang-won smiled a bit.'
In fact, Jo Hye-ryeon, who showed outstanding math skills, originally planned to apply to the Department of Chemical Engineering at Hanyang University. However, due to her friends' sincere encouragement, she changed her career path to the Department of Theater and Film and ended up here.
Lee Jang-won had similarities with Jo Hye-ryeon. He inherited genes from a father who was a professor at KAIST and a mother who graduated from Yonsei University with a piano degree. They recently made a name for themselves as a highly educated group.
Shin Jae-pyeong expressed his surprise, saying, 'At first, I thought it was a joke. Yoo Jae-suk called Peppertones. It was our agency, and there was a Mechanism contract.' Lee Jang-won added, 'At first, it felt like he was looking for opinions. But then he said we had to release a song within a month or two. Issues cool off quickly, so it's better to release it soon. I got scared,' conveying his amazement at Jo Hye-ryeon's initiative.
The musical world of Peppertones, known for their soothing and comforting music, and Jo Hye-ryeon, known for her boldness, resulted in an unexpected harmony. Supporting this was Yoo Jae-suk, who was the most enthusiastic.
Jo Hye-ryeon remarked, 'It's a joint production, and Yoo Jae-suk is the assistant. He comes during music video shoots to give advice and so on.' She added, 'Yoo Jae-suk has a position at Antenna, right? So I want Peppertones, who are in the same agency, to earn more money.'
Having children in their mid-20s, Jo Hye-ryeon expressed her gratitude, saying, 'Yoon-ah has a twist: she studies to make her parents happy. She is now in her fourth year of college. Now, she studies what she likes. She actively works part-time and all that. This is much happier.'
Jo Hye-ryeon also mentioned, 'The universe was a primary school graduate at 18. It's because I kept quitting. When I asked my son what he wanted to do, he said he wanted to play games, so I made him attend a game academy. He liked planning. So he created a 270-page plan and got accepted to six universities with it.'
In response, Kim Sook and others said, 'Now you can focus on music,' to which Jo Hye-ryeon replied, 'Of course,' surprising Lee Jang-won. Lee Jang-won cautiously asked, 'You're going to focus on it?' causing laughter.
