Dex from 'Handsome Guys' revealed his recent transition from entertainment to acting.
In the tvN entertainment program 'Handsome Guys' aired on the 12th, Dex, who gained significant attention from 'Mike man,' appeared as a guest. On this day, MC Lee Yi-kyung opened by saying, 'I've heard that Dex has big dreams as an actor,' and Dex humbly responded, 'I'm still lacking in ability and I'm trying out various things.'
He continued, 'Last year, I filmed a work called 'The Defects,' but it hasn't been released yet,' adding, 'I think you can look forward to it this year,' expressing his anticipation for his first drama appearance.
In fact, Dex has confirmed his appearance in the new ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'The Defects.' Scheduled to air for the first time at 10 p.m. on July 21, 'The Defects' features a strong cast, including trusted actors Yum Jung-ah, Won Jina, and Choi Young-jun, alongside Dex (real name Kim Jin-young), creating a striking combination. 'The Defects' (directed by Oh Gi-hwan, written by Ahn So-jung) is an action thriller depicting the desperate survival and revenge of children abandoned by their adoptive parents and surviving on the brink of death. The recent script reading site was also revealed, raising expectations for the actors' perfect character immersion and synergy.
Last year, Dex made his acting debut through the short series 'Tarot: The Story of Seven Cards' by LG Uplus STUDIO X+U. This time, he challenges his transformation as an actor, presenting a different side from the strong image shown through various entertainment programs. The production team stated, 'With the addition of the versatile all-rounder Kim Jin-young (Dex), the tension and freshness of the drama will be heightened.'
