Singer-songwriter Eun Jong has revealed that she has divorced her husband, fellow singer Yoon Ddan Ddan, due to his infidelity and violence.
On the 12th, Eun Jong posted on her social media (SNS) that "the affair lawsuit I recently filed against my husband's partner has concluded with a favorable ruling after a year of disputes, and I am currently recovering while undergoing treatment for the mental and physical injuries I have suffered."
Eun Jong said that there were conflicts with Yoon Ddan Ddan even before their marriage, leading to repeated physical and mental harm, but she chose to marry him. She noted, "The issues kept recurring, and there were moments from the early days of our marriage when I experienced deep mental shock and stress, pondering the relationship; however, I realized that in the midst of that repetitive time, many things accumulated, and ending the relationship could no longer be a light choice."
She stated, "I thought the responsibility for the choice of marriage was mine, and I have tried my best to maintain the relationship; however, due to unresolved infidelity and the violence that occurred during the emotional struggles that followed, the relationship has become difficult to restore, leading to the affair lawsuit and separation."
Eun Jong mentioned, "After the separation, upon confirming recent interactions, I came to the conclusion that remaining in passive observation and silence only leaves scars for myself and my family, so I decided to document this in writing."
It has been reported that Eun Jong and Yoon Ddan Ddan are undergoing the divorce proceedings by agreement. She concluded her message by saying, "Regardless of the legal distribution in the process of the negotiated divorce, it has been difficult to find sincere apologies or reflections in the behavior shown so far."
