G-DRAGON attended the launch party for the liquor brand "PEACEMINUSONE Highball" held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 13th.
However, on that day, G-DRAGON appeared about 40 minutes later than scheduled, disappointing some fans. An event official noted, "Arrival was delayed due to traffic congestion," but G-DRAGON left with little explanation after briefly going through the photo wall, leading to controversies regarding his attitude.
It turned out that this event was not just a simple brand event. G-DRAGON reportedly donated 880 million won to the Justice Peace Foundation on the day of the event to support treatment for adolescent alcohol addiction. This symbolic amount adds meaning to the number 8, symbolizing infinity (∞).
As the honorary chairman of the foundation, G-DRAGON directly participated in the donation, expressing his hope that this contribution would not be a one-time event but spread as a culture where everyone participates. In particular, he conveyed the message that "it's okay not to be perfect" through the artwork he directly participated in for the highball series, visually symbolizing artistic solidarity regarding deficiency and coexistence.
The third highball unveiled at this event features the artwork "Imperfect Daisy" created by G-DRAGON himself. This follows the black and red "Art Edition" and serves as the conclusion to the PEACEMINUSONE project, which explores the themes of "peace, emotion, and coexistence lacking on Earth" through a cosmic narrative.
Meanwhile, regarding G-DRAGON's lateness, some expressed disappointment, saying, "I wish he had at least said a word to the waiting fans," while others supported him, saying, "His sincerity, quietly doing good deeds, could be felt in the fact that this was the scene of an 880 million won donation."
