The drama 'Seochodong,' which is highly anticipated as actor Lee Jong-suk's new work, will be released on Disney+.
On the 12th, Disney+ announced that the new tvN Saturday-Sunday drama 'Seochodong' (written by Lee Seung-hyun, directed by Park Seung-woo) will be available starting July 5 on Disney+. 'Seochodong' portrays the amusing and passionate growth of five office workers, aspiring lawyers, who commute to Seochodong Law Town every day.
The main poster released alongside it captures the vibrant appearance of the five actors, perfectly transformed into office lawyers from Seochodong Law Town. Dressed in neat suits and carrying briefcases, their confident and brisk steps through the streets of Seochodong Law Town foreshadow the diverse activities of the aspiring lawyer quintet. Furthermore, the tagline, "We commute to Seochodong today as well," raises curiosity about their work life, which goes beyond a simple commute, as they engage fiercely in deliberations both inside and outside the courtroom while growing passionately every day.
In 'Seochodong,' actor Lee Jong-suk will take on the role of 'Ahn Joo-hyung,' boasting the highest seniority of nine years among the 'Avengers' (Avengers + lawyers). The smart and sharp-minded 'Joo-hyung' leads the narrative as the most professional figure in Seochodong Law Town. Actor Moon Ka-young, known for her delicate and three-dimensional emotional performances in various works such as 'Understanding of Love,' 'True Beauty,' and 'The Memory of That Man,' will play 'Kang Hee-ji,' a first-year aspiring lawyer, showcasing her unique charm with a candid and unfettered personality. Filled with youthful passion and vigor, 'Hee-ji' is expected to convey laughter and empathy to viewers through her rookie struggles.
Additionally, Kang Yoo-seok, who has recently risen to fame through the dramas 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' and 'Resident Playbook,' adds cheerful energy to the show as the chatty 'Jo Chang-won' of the Avengers. Having previously portrayed doctor and prosecutor characters, he will now transform into a lawyer, showcasing the true worth of a professional character once again. Furthermore, the fierce competitor 'Bae Moon-jung,' who has a strong craving for victory, will be played by actress Ryu Hye-young, known for her stable acting skills proven in dramas such as 'Law School' and 'Reply 1988.' The script for 'Seochodong' is written by Lee Seung-hyun, a practicing lawyer who is expected to vividly depict the joys and sorrows of office worker lawyers based on his real-life experiences in the legal field. Director Park Seung-woo, recognized for his unique worldview and artistic direction through works such as 'Kairos' and 'Adamas,' will helm the project, drawing attention to the fresh synergy they will create together.
