Park Jung-min was exposed by a publishing company employee on 'Yoo Quiz on the Block.'
In the episode aired on Nov. 11, actor Park Jung-min, who became the head of a two-person publishing company, grants.
On this day, Park Jung-min, who returned as the head of the two-person publishing company, shared that he is working alone with the director. He said, 'The director used to do brand marketing. We brought him on board because he knows our company the best. In fact, it's tight to pay his salary right now.'
Meanwhile, the director Ms. Kim Ah-young revealed how she started working with Park Jung-min. She explained, 'When I was at my previous job, I had an opportunity to collaborate with the CEO by chance. I thought that the publishing company was not just trying to look intellectual. At that time, I actually wanted to go to a big company and I was rejected for the application. It was a coincidence that I got a call that day, so the timing matched well.'
Park Jung-min mentioned that he works from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., stating that a 7-hour workday is set, and he tells employees to leave work. But he added, 'They don't leave.' He continued, 'They can take vacation whenever they want, and telecommuting is possible, so coming to the office is flexible. There are many employee benefits,' but he confessed that he is so busy he doesn't have time to use them.
In response, Ms. Kim Ah-young cheekily commented, 'I think of him as the director because he does everything.' She revealed, 'There is a lot of work. There is so much work that if I go, it won't get done. They keep telling me to come.'
Meanwhile, Park Jung-min drew attention by stating that he planned an audiobook for his visually impaired father. He mentioned that he started planning in 2021 and completed it after four years, introducing the novel by author Kim Geum-hee.
Park Jung-min explained, 'It started as a project called listening novels. Traditionally, a paper book is made first, then an e-book, and finally an audiobook. But we decided to make the audiobook first. So we introduced it to visually impaired readers as the first listeners, and then the paper book was available in stores a month later.'
He revealed that the main reason he made the audiobook was because of his father, saying, 'My father originally had a visual impairment. He had it since he was young. So in our house, we couldn't leave anything on the floor since olden days. I wanted to give books to not only my father but also to others with visual impairments first.'
Author Kim Geum-hee also readily joined after hearing the intention. Park Jung-min expressed gratitude, saying, 'She is really a very popular person, so I gave up as soon as I made the suggestion. You may know me, but our company is small, so there was no guarantee we could publish the book well. I thought it wouldn't work out, but she participated solely based on the intention.'
