Actor Ryu Jin shared his daily life dedicated to supporting his son.
On the 9th, a video titled "Cheongna basketball club senior Chan-ho" was uploaded to the channel "The Greatest (Coolest) Ryu Jin."
On this day, Ryu Jin stated, "Chan-ho has a basketball class today, but it's a bit far. So I'm going to pick him up now. I don't go every time. There is a school bus, but when the bus and the timing don't match, I sometimes go to pick him up and, while I'm there, I actually take a look around" and revealed that his second son Chan-ho is deeply into basketball by saying, "I buy all his shoes as basketball shoes."
The production team asked, "Do you usually pick him up often?" and Ryu Jin replied, "I pick him up a lot. I go about ten times a week for rides around Songdo Cheongna. It happens frequently."
Afterward, he said, "I bought drinks because I was worried the kids might get tired. I brought electrolyte drinks and water. To keep their spirits up, I have to do at least this much" as he packed plenty of drinks and headed to where Chan-ho was.
The production team said, "You're really doing a good job supporting," and Ryu Jin expressed, "It feels good to come watch the kids exercise or go see them while they were swimming before. I don't know. Watching the kids learn and improve makes me feel healthier, and I feel like they are getting healthier as well."
Upon entering the basketball court, Ryu Jin set drinks on a table while the kids played basketball. The production team remarked, "You really look like an athlete's father," and said, "Chan-ho is going to be a basketball player," to which Ryu Jin laughed, saying, "Exactly. I set everything up perfectly."
The production team then asked, "Do you play basketball?" and Ryu Jin replied, "It's no joke. Back in our days, we learned to shoot on dirt courts with uneven bounces from stones. There weren't many chances to play in places like this. I feel proud that our kids are learning sports here. Just sending them here is fulfilling."
When asked, "Is Chan-ho good?" Ryu Jin proudly replied, "You saw him a while ago in Hongdae, right? He's good." He then asked, "Is there anyone who can reach this rim?" and the friends unanimously replied, "Chan-ho." Chan-ho impressed everyone by jumping straight up and touching the rim.
The production team stated, "Didn't you say you would win if you played a basketball game against Chan-ho last time?" and suggested, "Shall we have a match today?" Ryu Jin replied, "But if I'm going to play with those kids, I'll need to partner with Chan-ho, right?" and teamed up with Chan-ho to play a 2:3 basketball game against Chan-ho's friends.
He said, "Today, whatever you want, the man from nowhere will grant it. Anything you want," and the production team jokingly asked, "Will you buy an iPhone or change my computer?" Ryu Jin quickly dismissed it, saying, "No way, those friends would never ask for that. No way, that's just too much." In response, Chan-ho added, "You shouldn't think like that."
After the game, Ryu Jin achieved final victory thanks to Chan-ho's performance. However, Ryu Jin promised to treat Chan-ho's friends to a meal, creating a warm atmosphere. Once home, Ryu Jin asked Chan-ho, "When should I treat you to a meal? I said I would do it earlier, so let me know anytime. I can buy steak or something last time," to which the production team jokingly pushed, "Then an iPhone too?" causing laughter.
