The group ENHYPEN is continuing its box office success in Japan with a new release.
According to the Japanese Oricon on the 10th, ENHYPEN's mini album No. 6, 'DESIRE: UNLEASH,' has topped the latest 'Weekly Album Ranking' (June 16 edition/period of June 2-8).
Oricon noted, '"DESIRE: UNLEASH" sold 306,000 copies in its first week of release in Japan,' and added, 'this exceeds the group's previous record set by the regular second album, 'ROMANCE: UNTOLD.' This demonstrates ENHYPEN's strong potential, particularly as it achieved No. 1 on the 'Weekly Album Ranking' based on about three days of sales after its local release.'
With this, ENHYPEN has placed a total of 10 albums at the top of this chart, starting with mini album No. 2, 'BORDER: CARNIVAL,' showcasing their unflagging local popularity.
'DESIRE: UNLEASH' dominated major album charts in Japan immediately upon release. This album swept to the top positions on local iTunes 'Top Albums' chart and Apple Music 'Top Albums' chart, and it reached the top of the Oricon 'Daily Album Ranking' for three consecutive days (June 6-8).
The response to the title track 'Bad Desire (With or Without You)' is also enthusiastic. This song topped the real-time rising music chart 'Top 100' on major Japanese streaming platform AWA, and the music video for this song ranked 3rd on Line Music 'Music Video Top 100' (June 8 edition) while enjoying continued popularity.
An offline pop-up event where fans can deeply enjoy ENHYPEN's new release is being held successfully. The pop-up 'MAISON ENHYPEN SEOUL' organized with the world's largest music streaming platform Spotify is receiving positive feedback by offering fans a unique experience. This pop-up runs until the 14th at Bunker in Yeouido, Seoul, and is expanding to Tokyo and Jakarta to increase interactions with fans worldwide.
