In 'When Life Gives You Tangerines', IU's younger brother, Kang Yu-seok, continues his rising stardom as the attorney Jo Chang-won in 'Seocho-dong'.
The new tvN weekend drama 'Seocho-dong', which will premiere on July 5 (Saturday) (written by Lee Seung-hyun / directed by Park Seung-woo / planned by CJ ENM Studios / produced by Chorokbaem Media), is a drama that captures the growth journey of five attorneys (those who are employed by law firms and earn a salary) commuting daily to Seocho-dong Legal Town.
In the drama, Jo Chang-won (played by Kang Yu-seok) is a social butterfly at Seocho-dong Legal Town's Hyungmin Building, always eager to add his input to every conversation. He is well connected and enjoys a vibrant social life, often seen mingling with the 'Avengers' (Avengers + attorneys) group, energizing his peers.
He possesses a highly positive mindset, easily accepting and thinking about everything, but during his workplace journey, invisible damages have been accumulating. Since he didn't become a lawyer for the sake of livelihood or justice, facing moments of self-doubt as an attorney has led to curiosity about Jo Chang-won's true feelings.
Photos released showcase Jo Chang-won's intense daily life as an attorney in Seocho-dong Legal Town. Although he eases daily stress by having lunch with friends after court sessions, doubts about his career and suitability have begun to surface. Attention is focused on whether Jo Chang-won will be able to resolve the curiosity nestled deep in his heart.
There is also significant attention on actor Kang Yu-seok's transformation as he depicts Jo Chang-won's concerns and growth. Having received love from viewers by playing various characters, from a novice resident emerging from idol fame to the face of a wandering youth, Kang Yu-seok is expected to resonate deeply with office workers experiencing a sense of ennui in their careers through the character of Jo Chang-won.
The new tvN weekend drama 'Seocho-dong', featuring the energy of the 'Avengers' energizer Kang Yu-seok grappling with unspoken dilemmas, will premiere on July 5 (Saturday) at 9:20 p.m.
