On the 6th, GOT7's Jackson officially released the music video for his new song "Hate to Love."
This single is one of the main chapters of his upcoming second full-length album "MAGICMAN 2," set to be released worldwide on July 18, and it is a lyrical track that captures deep emotions of confronting the wounds of trust and the pain of betrayal.
"Hate to Love" follows a slowly rising emotional line within a dreamy atmosphere, depicting Jackson facing his true self and standing at the threshold of change. "I've been asking the question of when I can find love, but perhaps the real question is, 'When will I learn to love myself?'" Jackson noted.
The official music video contains a narrative of the self called "MAGICMAN" confronting reality alone in the darkness and choosing growth and healing instead of illusion.
"MAGICMAN 2" is the most honest and ambitious project Jackson has released to date, completed solely with Jackson's production over a work period of more than a year. Choosing to take a break for the first time in his career, he faced the emotions he had previously ignored, capturing the extreme highs caused by negativity, the pain of identity loss, the process of setting boundaries with others, and the act of letting go of the desire to meet others' expectations, ultimately finding peace through acceptance.
The pre-released single "High Alone" topped the Apple Music charts in 22 countries and regions worldwide, while the second single "GBAD" gained explosive reactions, recording over 32 million views on YouTube.
