Creator Lallal admitted that she did not earn much money as her alter ego Lee Myung-hwa.
On the 9th, a video titled 'Beginner mom Lallal learns parenting methods from senior mom Kim Nam-joo' was posted on the YouTube channel 'Kim Nam-joo.'
Lallal said, 'Lee Myung-hwa is so much fun, but I want to do a new character. However, I'm not losing weight right now. To do a new character, I need to lose weight or something, but I'm not losing weight, so I'm trying to cut back on late-night snacks.'
Kim Nam-joo asked, 'Did you earn a lot of money as Lee Myung-hwa?' To this, Lallal replied, 'Many people think I hit the jackpot, but in reality, the deficit is much larger. I couldn't say this anywhere.'
She continued, 'I had a lot of leftover merchandise after doing the Lee Myung-hwa character. In any case, the conclusion is that it's a deficit. It feels like all the money I've made has flown away, so it was really tough.' She noted, 'These days, I think it's not that I gained weight, but rather, 'I never had money in the first place,' and 'That was never my money.' Thinking like that makes me feel at ease, but when I think about how hard I worked, honestly, I can't help but feel depressed.'
Lallal expressed, 'I used to feel that way too. When I open my eyes, I had no choice but to work, and I endured by doing a job I didn't like as a part-timer. I've even worked in a factory when I was in middle school. I lost so much money, and there were times when I had to sleep for two hours and wake up to go to the factory. Then I thought, 'You should just quit all this and go to work in the factory starting tomorrow to make money.' If I were told to do that, wouldn't I earn more money than back then? That kind of thought felt like having cold water splashed on my face, waking me up.'
Lallal said, 'So I've been thinking that this job is what it is, and I'm not someone who originally had money, so let's just be grateful for the fact that I can earn money with this job, and just be thankful every day.'
In particular, when Lallal mentioned that she made a cameo appearance in a movie as Lee Myung-hwa, Kim Nam-joo asked, 'Is it still a deficit even after receiving the grant?' To this, Lallal replied, 'It won't be released until the second half of next year, so I'll be able to receive the grant then. It hasn't been deposited yet,' which drew sympathy.
