Yoon Hyun-min from "My Little Old Boy" has made friends with a new female friend. Kim Seung-soo made a promise toward his future wife.
The November 8 episode of SBS's variety show "My Little Old Boy" depicted the friendships of the class of 85, including Yoon Hyun-min, Choi Jin-hyuk, and Lee Guk-joo. Yoon Hyun-min, who is somewhat introverted, tends not to attend gatherings. To help him, Choi Jin-hyuk introduced a new female friend, saying, "Today, the friend born in '85 is a girl. She came here to see you while studying abroad in Japan. She really wanted to meet you." It was Lee Guk-joo.
Choi Jin-hyuk asked Lee Guk-joo, "Are you trying to settle down?" Lee Guk-joo replied, "It's similar. You never know how someone's life will turn out," jokingly as she walked in carrying a gigantic custom-made pot for restaurant use. She introduced it, saying, "I had it made myself after talking to a kitchenware owner I know while browsing social media."
Lee Guk-joo explained her reason for visiting, saying, "I had three opportunities to see Yoon Hyun-min, but I missed them all. So, shouldn't I make an effort?" She continued, "I'm actually a fast '86. Should I say I'm older by one year?" and casually spoke to Yoon Hyun-min. However, he replied, "No, let's not complicate things. Please feel free to talk to me," making everyone laugh.
The full-scale cooking show has begun. There was one bottle of sauce, two rows of fish cakes, and 6 kg of beef tripe. Lee Guk-joo explained, "I'm bringing the seasoning for making beef tripe hot pot. I'm going to cook it this way," as she began showing the inside of the gigantic pot filled with red fish cake soup while adding the broth made from bone and creating a reddish hot pot with her special seasoning mix.
As the food cooked, Lee Guk-joo created an impressive drink. She mixed soju with carbonated water and vitamin drinks in a stone ice pack. Then, she combined soju and an electrolyte drink in another stone ice pack, sticking a straw in it to create "ringelju." It was a creation that everyone admired. The face of the liquor enthusiast, Shindong-yeob, was filled with envy.
Shindong-yeob noted, "First of all, the performance is amazing," expressing his admiration.
Next, Lee Guk-joo said, "I think you want to ask about marriage," and gave Yoon Hyun-min a tarot reading. However, as soon as she drew the cards, she said, "This is a failure. There's no strength in marriage here. There are a boy, a queen, a knight, and a king, but the boy is the least significant. This cup represents the heart, and the fact that there's a fish means there's a personal stubbornness. The card that came up about marriage says, 'I think this is good,'" leaving Yoon Hyun-min's mother disheartened.
Meanwhile, Kim Joon-ho had to choose between Kim Seung-soo and Heo Kyung-wan as a potential partner for his sister, Kim Mi-jin, for a blind date. While probing about their views on dating, Kim Joon-ho asked, "So, is Heo Kyung-wan a homeowner?" Heo Kyung-wan responded, "I live in a jeonse, but I can purchase a place immediately if necessary," flaunting his financial strength.
Hearing this, Kim Seung-soo said, "I own two homes. Of course, if I marry, I'll transfer one to my wife's name," which made Heo Kyung-wan envious.
