The couple Ji So-yeon and Song Jae-hee revealed the circumstances that helped them resolve their conflicts early in their marriage.
In the SBS entertainment program 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' (hereafter 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'), which aired on the 9th, the couple Song Jae-hee and Ji So-yeon, who experienced conflicts early in their marriage, presented different perspectives. Growing up under a patriarchal father, Song Jae-hee controlled Ji So-yeon's actions, intervening and restraining her concerning her hair length, clothing, photo uploads, and even meetings with friends.
Ji So-yeon earnestly hoped for her husband to change and endured, but ultimately found it difficult. Ji So-yeon noted, "So there were times when I prayed, please allow me to be legally separated. That surprised everyone."
The couple found an opportunity for legal separation. Ji So-yeon stated, "We decided to go to New Zealand together for student mission work. Since Song Jae-hee had to film a drama, I stayed in New Zealand alone for 8 months. I recovered there."
In response, Song Jae-hee said, "I thought living with my wife, bickering and cooking together, was life. Living without my wife was too hard. But she said she really enjoyed life there. I was shocked and thought I needed to change," revealing the transformative 8 months.
