SHINee's Taemin opened up about his serious concerns regarding his debut retirement.

In the video, Taemin, who recently made a comeback with his new song 'Poet I Artist,' grants an honest conversation with Big Bang's Daesung.
Taemin mentioned his recently concluded first solo world tour. 'I was really thankful that many fans welcomed me more than I thought,' he said, adding, 'It may seem reckless, but there are often times I don't feel how much love I'm receiving. However, this opportunity made me feel proud.'
He continued, 'Having been active for a long time, I wonder how long I can keep doing this and whether it's right to leave when the applause stops.' However, he said his mindset changed to 'I'll keep doing it as long as I can.' He expressed that this was a good opportunity while sharing his concerns after 17 years since his debut.
Hearing this, Daesung encouraged, 'There aren't many singers who have been touring the world for 20 years among our seniors. We are in the process of creating it ourselves. It's an ongoing situation.' To this, Taemin replied, 'There aren't many precedents. The only precedent is our seniors in Big Bang. So, I'm very grateful.'
The two shared mutual understanding. Taemin said, 'While there are many good people around me whom I can talk to, those who can understand these conversations are only my contemporaries who have been active for a long time.' He added, 'I'm really thankful that I can share these kinds of conversations,' feeling emotional.
Daesung added, 'For someone, this might be a well-fed concern, but not many people can share this kind of empathy. So, I also end up sharing deep stories with Hyung Taeyang and Hyung Bi.' Taemin joked, 'Ultimately, the one who survives is the strong one. Let's keep doing this for a bit longer.'
Meanwhile, in April, a photo of Taemin and a person presumed to be NO:ZE embracing spread widely on online communities and social media, drawing attention. Above all, since there had been ongoing dating rumors between the two among fans, the repercussions were significant, leading to dating speculation.
Regarding this, Taemin's agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, drew a line stating that they are only close friends and not in a romantic relationship. They noted through the platform Bubble, 'I was very upset because of many misunderstandings and thought a lot about how to convey the truth,' adding, 'What's certain is that I hope you believe in me as you have so far, and I will become someone who repays you for the misunderstandings and love you have given me.'
