The group ENHYPEN expressed a heightened desire towards their fandom, ENGENE, raising the excitement from the first day of their comeback.
ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Ni-ki) held a mini 6th album 'DESIRE: UNLEASH' release showcase on the 5th at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. This showcase was also streamed live via the global superfan platform Weverse, allowing fans from 196 countries/regions such as Indonesia, Japan, China, and the United States to watch.
ENHYPEN captivated global fans by presenting a total of four songs, including the title track 'Bad Desire (With or Without You),' as well as 'Too Close,' 'Loose (Korean Ver.),' and 'Helium.' Dressed in black suits, ENHYPEN set the tone from the opening stage of 'Bad Desire (With or Without You).' Their powerful choreography, while restrained, maximized the audience's immersion. As the emotions of wanting to possess someone surged, the dance moves of the seven members became even more intense, eliciting an explosive cheer from the crowd.
The fan showcase included various segments that enhanced understanding and closeness to the new album. Among them, a listening session where members introduced each track by singing a line stood out. ENHYPEN described the first track, 'Flashover,' as "a song that feels fresh because it's a style we haven't really tried before," and regarding 'Outside,' they noted, "Since ENGENE likes rap, we had the courage to challenge ourselves with rap," adding, "It's a song that mixes rap and various vocal techniques, showing musical completeness."
Additionally, Jay talked about 'Helium,' in which he participated in producing, writing lyrics, and playing guitar. He mentioned, "I wanted to show genuine emotions to ENGENE during the performance, so that was the theme of the song," and expressed, "I feel moved to have the voices of all seven members in the song I created."
At the end of the performance, ENHYPEN stated, "I remember the processes of preparing for our comeback, and we are grateful to have successfully showcased it," and urged, "We have prepared many things this time, and since activities start from today, please look forward to it."
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN will appear today (6th) on KBS2's 'Music Bank' and 'The Seasons - Park Bogum's Cantabile' to showcase their new song.
