Her last moment was when she ended a phone call with a friend in the store, saying a customer had arrived. When she could not be reached afterward, a friend found her cold body after visiting the adult toy store past midnight.
Upon discovery, the interior of the store, which had its lights on, was in disarray, and blood stains were scattered. The victim was found dead in a corner of the store with her lower body exposed, presumed to have died after being repeatedly assaulted in the facial area and then strangled. Although it is not easy for a woman to operate such a store, who could be the perpetrator who brutally murdered Lee Jung-sook, who worked hard for her family's livelihood?

Considering the victim's lower body was exposed and her underwear was missing, it seems highly likely that someone visited with the intent to sexually assault her. Shockingly, the perpetrator not only killed the victim but also committed grotesque acts on her body before calmly disappearing. However, no semen reaction was detected, and the perpetrator's fingerprints or DNA were not properly identified, leaving the case unresolved.

It has been suggested that he possibly committed an undisclosed murder in Busan in February 2004 during his dormant period of crime, as he had a history of killing a man who ran an adult toy store.
Another suspect and the final clue

Another individual is the serial killer Lee Du-hong (pseudonym), who inspired the film "The Drug King." He had previously strangled and killed a female employee of a nightclub located in the same building as the adult toy store in Chungmu-dong. Concerning the adult toy store incident, which was only mentioned briefly in the newspaper, Lee Du-hong even wrote a confession letter admitting to killing the female owner.
Lee Du-hong, who ultimately did not reveal the full extent of his crimes, died in prison in 2018. Was he the last customer who visited the adult toy store that night? Or was it the hidden crime of the serial killer Yu Young-cheol?
