Actor Han Ga-in and Kim Dong-jun have once again proven the majesty of 'the ultimate doppelganger.' Following a DNA test, they have now announced a challenge with face reading, and their ongoing 'lookalike narrative' is making viewers smile.
On the 5th, a video titled 'Can the ultimate lookalikes Han Ga-in and Kim Dong-jun unlock each other's Face ID?' was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Free Woman Han Ga-in.' This marks a reunion about seven months after their first meeting in November of last year, where the two displayed sibling-like chemistry from the very beginning, expressing their joy.
Han Ga-in said, "I generally struggle to speak casually, but it feels like I'm talking in honorifics to family, so I find speaking informally more comfortable," and Kim Dong-jun also noted, "Since then, I've felt like family as well," naturally elevating the atmosphere with their titles and demeanor. The production team introduced a comment from the first meeting's video stating, "They pretend to talk but are just checking each other's faces," and Han Ga-in couldn't hide her laughter at the unbelievable 'lookalike reality,' saying, "I resemble my sister more."
The production team prepared various experiments this time as well. In the first smartphone Face ID test, Han Ga-in's face was registered and then Kim Dong-jun attempted to unlock it, but both Samsung and Apple devices failed to recognize it. Han Ga-in expressed a mixed response of disappointment and relief, saying, "This is how it should be. I was worried, but I figured this would happen." Following that, a synthesized image of 'virtual offspring' was revealed, but the results did not meet expectations. Han Ga-in shook her head, saying, "Not similar at all, it's boring," and Kim Dong-jun laughed, calling it a "mysterious face."
Ultimately, the production team conducted a biological sibling DNA test. After collecting hair and epithelial cells from the mouth, the test results revealed that 19 out of 23 items did not match, confirming they are not biological siblings. However, the two maintained that "still, there seems to be a connection," not denying a peculiar bond.
However, this was not the end. The production team announced, "We will go for face reading next week. We plan to show Kim Dong-jun's photo as well," teasing the next content. Han Ga-in expressed her excitement, saying, "At this point, shouldn't they be siblings from a past life?" and Kim Dong-jun added, "If we resemble each other even in face reading, then it's truly fate," adding to the anticipation.
Meanwhile, Han Ga-in and Kim Dong-jun gained significant attention last November, starting their 'lookalike' connection when Kim Dong-jun parodied Han Ga-in.
