Actor Lee Je-hoon expressed his admiration for Anh Sung-jae.
On the 4th, a video titled "A perfect pairing of the absolute taste Lee Je-hoon and Anh Sung-jae (feat. guessing the soju brand)" was uploaded on Chef Anh Sung-jae's YouTube channel. This video featured Lee Je-hoon, the protagonist of the movie "Soju War."
Anh Sung-jae appeared somewhat nervous about the actor's appearance. However, Lee Je-hoon, with his charming looks and clear signs of nervousness, caught everyone's attention. Lee Je-hoon stated, "I was so surprised and happy that I could be invited to Anh Sung-jae's YouTube because I really like the chef, and I said I wanted to participate."
Lee Je-hoon said, "Seeing you up close doesn't feel real," showing a bewildered expression. Lee Je-hoon continued, "I learned about Chef Anh Sung-jae through 'Culinary Class Wars,' and I also heard about the YouTube channel launch and watched from the first episode. However, it was a bit tough. I was worried it might go wrong, but I was really happy to see that you were doing great and adapting well."
Anh Sung-jae asked Lee Je-hoon, "I heard a new movie has been released." Lee Je-hoon replied, "It's a movie called 'Soju War.' It takes place during the 1997 IMF crisis, and my senior Yu Hae-jin saved a soju company where I got hired as an employee named Choi In-beom, trying to take over the company." He went on to introduce his role, saying, "The character I am playing is one filled with a desire for success."
On that day, Lee Je-hoon decided to make a dish that goes well with soju together with Anh Sung-jae. What would Lee Je-hoon's cooking skills be like? He was a clumsy cooking novice with his chopping skills.
Anh Sung-jae asked, "Imagine this is a movie. It's about playing a role that involves good knife skills. Wouldn't that enhance the immersion?" Lee Je-hoon responded, "I definitely think there is something to that. Whenever I play a character, I always give it my all. I think I've become somewhat that kind of person." Anh Sung-jae encouraged Lee Je-hoon, saying, "Then I hope you give it your best."
Focused, Lee Je-hoon received compliments on his gaze. Anh Sung-jae praised him, saying, "I think you would do well if you came out as a chef character." The two found common ground in a cooking movie called 'French Soup,' and it seemed they became much more familiar compared to the somewhat shy expressions they had at first.
After making melon avocado wraps, Lee Je-hoon and Anh Sung-jae drank some alcohol. It began with the toast that Anh Sung-jae could guess the taste of soju. Lee Je-hoon noted, "I can sense your determination to guess this flavor, Chef," while watching Anh Sung-jae drink repeatedly. Anh Sung-jae appeared slightly tipsy and said, "I think I can now call you brother, Lee Je-hoon." In response, Lee Je-hoon hugged Anh Sung-jae tightly, saying, "Brother!" creating a warm atmosphere.
Lee Je-hoon shared, "Honestly, there might be some promotional aspect for the movie, but I will never forget the time I met you today," expressing his heartfelt feelings.
