Political color controversy surrounding celebrities' fashion continues until the day of the 21st presidential election.
Hong Jin Kyung posted a photo wearing clothes at a clothing brand store in Stockholm, Sweden, on her personal SNS on the 2nd. In the published photo, she is seen wearing a red knit, and some raised suspicions that Hong Jin Kyung might be showing support for a specific political party ahead of the 21st presidential election.
On the 3rd, Hong Jin Kyung deleted the photo and said, "When I woke up in the morning, I received a lot of phone calls. I have often felt unfortunate seeing celebrities engaging in actions that could be misunderstood during the voting period, but to think that I would commit such foolish mistakes at this sensitive time, I am truly at a loss for words."
She continued, "The photos I posted on my feed were taken two days ago at a store in Stockholm. I thought the design was fun and posted the photo, but I didn't consider the color of the top I was wearing at the time," adding, "Having lived abroad for a long time, far removed from life in Korea, I lost my sense of tension."
While saying, "Regardless of the reason, I was in the wrong. Even if I have ten mouths, I have nothing to say; it is clearly my mistake. I sincerely apologize once again for causing confusion during this sensitive time."
Recently, ahead of the presidential election, a warning has emerged in the entertainment industry over political color controversies arising from finger gestures and clothing colors. Starting from aespa's Karina on the 27th of last month, rapper Beenzino, Hong Jin Kyung, and Jeong Ga Eun have been caught up in political color controversies.
Separately, there are figures who showcased 'all blue' fashion on the day of the election. Park Hae Mi shared on her personal account, "Today is another day to be grateful," along with the hashtags "Park Hae Mi, gratitude, happy."
In particular, Park Hae Mi was seen wearing a bright blue outfit and smiling widely, leading to speculation that she might be deliberately indicating support for a specific political party with her all-blue fashion. Regarding this, Park Hae Mi has not disclosed any particular stance.
