She attracted attention by mentioning that she does not usually enjoy driving and has only driven 110,000 kilometers over the past 25 years. A used car specialist assessed Hong Jin-hee's vintage car. The specialist noted, "It seems very well maintained."
Hong Jin-hee mentioned that she bought the vintage car for 70 million won 25 years ago. The specialist explained, "First, I check for any accidents in the used vehicle and look for scratches. Finally, I conduct a TES test."
When asked if there had been any accidents, Hong Jin-hee replied, "I'm not sure," but then said, "No, there hasn't been." The specialist carefully examined the interior and checked the condition of the vintage car. The expert stated, "The front bumper has been exchanged. Since the bumper is a consumable part, it doesn't factor into depreciation, but it seems like there may have been an accident."
Hong Jin-hee made everyone laugh by explaining, "To open the trunk, I have to close the ceiling." The specialist explained that there had been metal work done on the quarter panel, suggesting that repair work had been done after an accident.
The specialist remarked, "It seems like you drive a bit tough," pointing out scratches on the exterior. To this, Hong Jin-hee responded, "I used to do that when I was young." The specialist added, "It's a vehicle over 20 years old, but it's been well maintained, so the interior looks great."
The specialist discussed the final estimate for Hong Jin-hee's vintage car. She said, "Because the car is old, they said I could only get 2 million won at best." The specialist responded, "2 million won sounds a bit like highway robbery," and continued, "It's a vehicle that typically trades for around 7 to 8 million won, so depreciation will apply here."
The specialist described the repair history and exterior scratches, stating, "There is oil leakage from the engine," and said it could be worth around 4.5 million won, which drew attention.
